Paper Bunny Treat Bags
Paper bunny treat bags are simply just that...paper bags made to look like bunnies! I saw a version of these a few years ago online and just had to make them myself, with my own spin of course. :)
Bunny Ears
I started with a standard paper lunch bag and used a pencil to lightly draw the bunny ears. With a scissors I cut along the drawn lines and discarded the scraps. If any pencil lines are visible use an eraser to remove them.
I did not do anything further to the ears but you could do something like color the inside of them with pink or white, I'd suggest using crayon or a chalk marker for this. You could even add a nose, eyes, whiskers, etc. it is up to you! Products linked are my favorites or highly recommended for each project. Bunny Tails
I waited to draw my tail on until the bags were full but the tail can be added at any time. I drew mine on with a white chalk marker. If you wanted to add a 3D tail you could glue on a cotton ball or pompoms with a little sparkle or texture. If you do go this route, I would suggest using hot glue and my favorite hot glue gun, if you don't already have one, is a cordless glue gun!
Filling the Bunnies
I then filled the bags with candy! Here are a few fun ideas of things you could fill your bunny bags with:
Creating Bunny Shape
To create the bunny shape, I tied the bags closed using white curling ribbon. You could use any string you have, twine would be super cute too! If the bags are not full enough to make it look rounded on the bottom try to capture air inside before tying the bag shut. And that can be that, adorable paper bunny treat bags!
Of course I didn't stop there because I can be a little extra when I craft, so I tied a little cheeseball carrot to the front of the bunnies too! If you'd like to learn more about those cute little additions check out my video and blog post on "Easter Carrots Made of Cheeseballs!"
