Upcycled & Reusable Valentine's Day Home Decor
I love holidays and themes especially when it comes to dressing up or decorating for them. I don't always go all out, the level usually depends on my resources like time, money, what I already have on hand, how I am feeling, if we are hosting anything and how much I care for that particular holiday.
With that being said, Valentine's Day isn't my favorite holiday (come back for Spring/Easter or Christmas) but I do like to add a little extra warmth and love to the house for February.
So this year I filled my upcycled candle jars and Starbucks bottles with faux flowers and styrofoam hearts that I got at Dollar Tree and/or Dollar General.Products linked are my favorites or highly recommended for each project. I added little festive sign from Dollar General but if you don't have one near you or it is no longer there, check out this super cute pack that could even be used to decorate more than one space! The other decor on the entryway table is my step-daughter's string art heart, a piece of pottery, and a sign from a dear friend, that all sit out throughout the year.
I added a sparkly sign on the outside of each of our doors, mine are from Dollar Tree. I hung them on wreath hooks and I used Gorilla Mounting Putty to keep them fixated to the door. If you have not tried Gorilla Mounting Putty, get it! I honestly use it for so many things when a tape hold isn't strong enough, and it is reusable! It's like the stuff you used to put stars on your ceiling but a super strong serious, upgraded, Gorilla version! I can't sing it's praises enough.

We have two rocking chairs on our porch and the current chair pads are black and white buffalo plaid with back pillows that say "Deck the Halls." But the backsides of the pillows are white and the tassels are red so I turned those right around and it looked good enough for me!
We have a little flower box outside of our laundry room window. Right now it is filled with mixed winter greens from a local tree farm, so I added a few of the styrofoam hearts to that and it all came together.

Everything I used to decorate lasts all month and can be used for another occasion or again the following year. I store all of my decorations in clear plastic totes with handles that latch close. They are labeled for each holiday to keep things help me keep things organized.
