Coffee Table Fix Up

A few years ago the glass on our coffee table shattered.  I insisted that we keep the frame because at the time I was teaching elementary art and I intended to bring it to work to use for a sewing table but I never got around to it.

So instead we decided to make it useable again! First, we took the legs and round detail pieces off. I sanded them down a little and painted them white.  After a few days of drying I distressed the pieces with a small handheld sander and we put them back on. We bought some reversible prefinished handi-panel with a whitewashed barn wood type look to it. Travis cut it to fit in order to replace the top of the table.  We did the same to the matching end table we had and now have like new tables!

Small projects like this can make a big difference in the look of a room. Not only that, but great for the environment to upcycle your things!
