Kylie’s Antique Bed

I bought this antique bed frame from a consignment shop near our new home called “Too Good to Be Threw.” I think it may be a European size because when we set the boxspring in, it fell right through! Travis drilled some wood planks to the bottom of the bed to hold it in the correct location.

I painted the entire bed frame, headboard, and footboard white. It took several layers to cover the dark wood. My plan was to distress it but I had used so many layers of paint that it was difficult to create the look I was going for over the entire piece. However, I was able to use my hand sander to distress a few of the raised details.Products linked are my favorites or highly recommended for each project.  As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. We got her some new sheets with a floral pattern on them, paired it with this adorable lace bedskirt, and a lavender comforter set.  Now for some throw pillows... :)
